Designing is the most
important stage during making a smith's product. A smith who makes other
people's projects is only a craftsman. Good projects stress the style and
the possibilities of the author. If the author is able to achieve
perfection in realizing his plan, he may create unique objects marked with
the craftsman's artistry and his artistic vision. I encourage everybody to
watch my drafts, projects of the balustrades, railings, beds and other
products of artistic smithery. The pictures presented here I call 'drafts',
because they include neither special measurements, nor proportions
characteristic for detailed projects. The project carried into effect
makes better impression than a picture. Something, you may touch, is
always more realistic than a flat surface of the picture
